Statement by the Author

I am deeply committed to helping heal our battered planet. In this volume of my poems I express my gratitude for, and wonder at, the gifts of this incredible earth. They contain many of the reasons I have spent 3 decades to help preserve all the creatures, including humankind, that share this unique place in our solar system. The poems I included express my reasons for hope as well as for concern. This is not a book of anger or rage against the "System" but rather a voice attempting to show "Another Way" of imagining the earth and our place within the weaving of life. The book itself was designed and hand bound by the Tokarski family. I trust these words will reinforce other activists in their struggles and will encourage the uncommitted to become involved in working for environmental peace.

Because I understand the practical problem of funding environmental organizations, I am donating this book to various activist groups. All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to help fund those organizations that are striving to heal and renew our earth.
